Marissa + Andy
I remember getting a phone call from Marissa inquiring about our services back in February of 2019. Her and Andy were living in New York City and deciding on a destination for their wedding. After speaking with family and close friends, they landed on the Pacific Northwest. With both Andy and Marissa being into wine and the great outdoors, we spent a beautiful April weekend touring venues in Hood River, Dundee and ended up selecting Zenith Vineyards for their sweeping views of the rolling hills and vineyard views. After rescheduling their wedding due to COVID, when the time came for the weekend, it couldn't have been any more perfect.
While the weather was showing "what Oregon weather is made of" (mix of rain, pops of sun and gorgeous rainbows), the events that took place brought together all of Marissa and Andy's closest friends and family from afar into a weekend filled with laughter and fun. Kicking off the weekend with a welcome reception and dinner at The Bindery in downtown McMinnville, then followed by the wedding at Zenith- all taking place outdoors.
We opted for a clear top tent, a mixture of long wooden tables and round linens with soft gray linens. The florals were a mix of lavender, soft peach, pinks and greenery with some blues too. Devil's Food Catering offered plated entrees with guests choice of locally sourced salmon, and short ribs with delicious seasonal vegetables.
Event Team Entertainment had the crowd dancing even throughout dinner service and well into the night. The cake…wow, the cake!!! Dream Cakes knocked it out of the park, per usual!
I have to say, I love that Oregon is becoming a destination for couples to get married and if they are all half as cool and fun to work with as Marissa and Andy were, SIGN ME UP!! It was a great weekend for an amazing couple, gracious guests and an incredible vendor team!
