Lauren + Sam
Lauren and Sam chose to have their rustic elegant winter wedding at Tetherow Resort. Much of their relationship was spent skiing the slopes of different mountains, so it was very fitting they chose a location that is only 15 minutes from the bottom of Mt. Bachelor. They made it a full weekend with a BBQ food truck welcome reception and hosting a brunch at one of the rental homes the day after the wedding. Although we were planning for February to be freezing and potentially snow, we surprised with the forecast of no precipitation and almost 50 degree weather to allow for the ceremony to be outside. Guests were greeted with a vintage coupe glass of champagne and a fuzzy blanket to bundle up in. 10 minutes prior to the ceremony the clouds parted and the sun showed up to create the most picturesque backdrop for Lauren and Sam's vows.
The cocktail hour occurred at Solomon's restaurant which is right next to Tetherow's Pavilion hall. This area boasts huge beautiful windows facing the golf course and the cascade mountain range. In the middle of the restaurant sets a large fireplace that lent perfectly to the warm and elegant atmosphere. When it was time for guests to come back to the Pavilion for dinner, they were invited to find their lantern which also served as their escort card.
Lauren and Sam named their tables by the different ski resorts they enjoyed such as Okemo, Big Sky, Vail, and Park City. They chose long wood tables adorned with lush greenery, white florals and lots of candles. The dinner started with a beautiful seasonal salad, plated option of beef, salmon or vegetarian entrée. Instead of a cake, Lauren and Sam decided on delightful mini desserts from Dreamin' Desserts. There was something for everyone, even those who were gluten free. After the dancing was in full force, a taco bar and flat bread pizzas were also available for guests to enjoy.
All the guests young and old made it on the dance floor with music from Flip Flop Sounds. There was even a dance circle that formed at a pivotal point of the evening. There was so much joy and laughter all throughout the night. It was the perfect way to celebrate Lauren and Sam.
