Carly + Hunter

I first got connected with Carly and Hunter because the groom’s sister Lauren is one of our Seattle planners! It was such a fun connection, and Carly definitely had planning chops of her own. She was so on top of things and fun to work with throughout the process, so I could not wait for this wedding day to arrive! Carly and Hunter chose wisely with Summit Grove Lodge, a gorgeous venue tucked into the forests of Washington.

The ceremony was set on the grassy lawn, framed by tall trees, calming waterfall fountains, pretty wooden chairs, and a spectacular stone and log gazebo at the end of the aisle decorated by Flora and Fauna Farms. Inside felt like the coziest log cabin! Their dinner tables were decorated with roses, greenery, and candlelight as string lights hung above, and a show stopping neon sign hung on the sprawling stone fireplace behind their sweetheart table.

I loved all of their smaller touches, too - family photos scattered all over the welcome table, the bar sign and cocktail napkins featuring their cute dog Beau, and thank you notes for each guest’s chair. Carly took my breath away when she came out in her wedding dress for their first look, with hair and makeup done beautifully by Glam Beauty Bar, so I can only imagine what Hunter was feeling! Hunter looked equally dashing in his blue suit with coordinating white and blue floral tie and pocket square. The color really popped with the green of the trees!

After photos with family and friends, all captured by the amazing Backcountry Imagery, then it was time for the ceremony. Guests grabbed drinks from the bar and fans to stay cool in the heat as they filed in for the big celebration. The ceremony for this sweet couple was absolutely lovely, performed by Hunter’s dad Brad, and every guest cheered as they were pronounced husband and wife! Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the summer breeze of the patio, while Carly and Hunter took some time to themselves and enjoyed their own drinks and appetizers - always a great choice! Once guests were seated for dinner, Carly and Hunter descended the grand wooden staircase and were introduced once again to the crowd as β€œMr. and Mrs.”!

After everyone filled up their plates with a delicious summery spread at the buffet line and helped themselves to a mouth-watering cupcake from Killa Bites, it was time for toasts and dancing via Paradox Productions. I loved the neon light sticks to really make it feel like a party and the fiber wands for their faux send-off. What a magical night for the best couple! Carly and Hunter, I had an absolute blast working with you on your special day. Your love is so beautiful and inspiring! Cheers to a long and happy life together!

XOXO, Emily
