Amanda + Anthony
There are not enough words to describe how much fun I had with Amanda while planning her May 20th wedding. Amanda and I knew each other years ago when we both were working for the same company. While we saw each other now and then, it was not until the planning process began that we were able to really catch up.
Before we even started talking details, I knew (from all those years before) that this was going to be an amazing event. Amanda had always been the glam-girl, dressed up for all occasions, perfectly put together, and not one to shy away from a little sparkle - and for this special day, sparkle did we ever!
Amanda's father was in the process of building a vintage car museum, Jester's Auto Museum with an event space attached. Their wedding would be the first wedding (and event) to be held in the space - so cool! While contraction moved along, Amanda and I spent our time working on converting the space into a Winter Wonderland.
Before we all knew it, it was the wedding day! Guests were welcomed into the venue and took their seats among the most gorgeous all-white arrangements + crystal-swathed alter piece, as well as 6 dangling chandeliers. Amanda wowed all of her guests in the most amazing gown by Lazro Bridal (truly the inspiration for the entire wedding!).
After a heartfelt ceremony, and darling performance by their pup/ring bearer, Louis (in a tuxedo of course!) guests made their way out of the ceremony space for cocktails among some of the Museum's amazing vintage cars.
As special treats for guests, we brought in an replica Inukshuk as Anthony had proposed to Amanda in front of the actual Inukshuk in Whistler BC, and my favorite a champagne fountain! And not just any fountain - the same one her parents had at their own wedding decades before!
The fun continued from there! Dinner was served in our converted space under the crystal chandeliers and among glittering voters and beautiful white roses. We toasted to the newly weds, and watched as they opened up the dance floor with a performance by Dance Machine. Guests moved between the Open Air Photo Booth—definitely a hit, our beautiful lounge, and the rocking dance floor while enjoying individual wedding cakes and a late snack, burgers from Burgerville, which the bride herself passed out to guests on a silver tray - so cute!
And the final detail, Amanda now in a new (also gorgeous!) gown helped lead her bridesmaids as they showered the guests with silver confetti during one of the couple's favorite songs!
The entire night was a blast! Amanda and Anthony are such a special couple, one I felt so honored to work with. Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
