I began wedding planning planning with Jessica and Jake while they were still living the hipster life in San Francisco and just starting to make plans to move to Portland. Jake is originally from Boston, and Jessica from Anchorage, so Portland is the perfect location for them to meet halfway and establish their home together with their fur babies, Boo and Sam.

After much consideration, I'm certain Jessica and Jake were married in a previous life or alternate dimension. It was such a delight to see what incredible partners they have already become. Their shared core value of equality was demonstrated in every decision right from the start -- both Jessica and Jake wore engagement rings -- until the end where they chose a new last name to take together. Combined with a shared passion for food and travel, I was basically in Portland wedding planning heaven!

Urban-chic rustic elegance with lush greenery, natural wood, and lots of textured florals set the backdrop at Union Pine. For this foodie couple a cider-glazed pork belly amuse bouche decorated their place setting, and kicked off a decadent seasonal four course dinner complete with wedding cake and a dessert display! In keeping with their color scheme of shades of green we created a specialty Chartreuse Champagne cocktail that we named "Health & Happiness" for the wedding toasts, a marvelous pairing with the chocolate wedding cake. Congratulations again, Jessica and Jake!
