Leah and Nilan share love that is tangible and happiness that is contagious. I knew from the first meeting that I wanted to be a part of bringing their day into fruition. Leah’s parents have a home nestled on a quiet lake in Seattle, which was the perfect sentimental space to share their love story with their friends and family.

All of the details were thoughtful and sentimental. Nilan’s mother is an artist who painted the lakeside scene at the Downey’s residence, which was used as the envelope liner for their invitation suite, the backdrop for their welcome sign, and the labels for their honey favors. Which, not to mention, was honey harvested from Leah’s mothers bee hives. Leah’s sister drew the cutest photo of their dog Toby, which was used on their custom cocktail napkins.

The couple kicked off the weekend's festivities with a welcome party where they brought in the Dick’s food truck and celebrated having all of their friends and family being together. On wedding day, we couldn't have been more happy to celebrate with the sun out and not a single cloud in the sky. Something unexpected for early October! The couple got ready at the Pan Pacific hotel in South Lake Union, where they shared their first look. On their way to the residence they took their family to Olympic Sculpture Park for some sight seeing and portraits.

Guests were seated at the lakeside for a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony. Elle Fleurit outdid herself on the ceremony flower meadow, and guests cheered as Leah and Nilan were pronounced husband and wife.

During cocktail hour, Danchall Days took the stage and announced Leah and Nilan’s first dance which was followed by a super fun and upbeat dance set before dinner. Once guests were seated for dinner, Leah and Nilan had the most grand entrance of all time! They were cheered on as they entered paddling in on a boat together!
