Emily + Drew
Emily and Drew are hands down one of the sweetest couples you’ll ever meet! It was a sentiment shared by all of their loved ones and echoed throughout their entire wedding day. They chose to celebrate their love at Bridal Veil Lakes, a beautiful hidden gem atop the hills in the Columbia Gorge. Their ceremony was nestled in between the old pine trees, right on the edge of the perfectly still lake. The scene could only be made more beautiful by Fire Poppy Floral’s touches on the ceremony arch!
When Emily walked down the aisle in her gorgeous sparkling dress, the entire crowd got teary-eyed! After the most heartfelt vows (and lots more happy tears), Emily’s father Jim had the honor of uniting Emily and Drew in marriage! While guests walked around to the other side of the lake for cocktail hour and enjoyed a gluten-free spread by Crave Catering, the wedding party snapped photos near the shore.
A grand entrance helped everyone welcome in the wedding party, then it was time for the buffet. Drew and Emily were super excited for their meal and it did not disappoint! I loved the copper and green color scheme they chose and the numerous decor touches that made the day feel so special.
The festivities continued with cake cutting and dessert, toasts from family and friends, and the shoe game led by DJ Chad Dowling to liven up the crowd. It was so funny to see Emily and Drew’s answers to each question, and a fun way to get to know the couple even better. Then when it came time for the formal dances, you could feel how much love was in the room! The dance floor opened up to guests with “Let’s Get It Started” by The Black Eyed Peas, and the fun continued until the end of the night with a faux “sparkler” send off!
It was such a pleasure getting to work with sweet Emily and her mom Susan throughout the planning process. Emily and Drew, you have the biggest hearts and deserve all the happiness in the world together! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
