Katie + Ross
Katie Craven + Ross Kelly are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet! We originally connected almost two years ago to plan an epic bash, but when the pandemic hit we adjusted to a smaller October celebration. Unfortunately just a few weeks before their day, a loss in their family had us put things on pause. We decided to reevaluate in the winter and planned for an intimate February elopement at St. Mary’s Cathedral + Waverley Country Club. These two had been through so much, so I was determined to give them the perfect wedding day with their closest family + friends.
The celebrations kicked off at St. Mary’s Cathedral with a socially distanced ceremony. Floral arrangements adorned the alter and greenery lined the aisle for a natural addition to the cathedral’s beauty. Guests were seated in alternating rows for extra safety as Katie + Ross were finally able to tie the knot! I can’t tell you how excited I was to see them finally pronounced as husband and wife and Deyla was there to beautifully capture it all!!
The wedding party recessed back to Waverley for an intimate dinner reception including a formal seven course meal. Their reception design involved lots lush whites, classic black, and tons of greenery! I loved the idea of an installation piece over the head table and Brier + Ivy totally nailed it! We kept things cozy with plenty of heaters for the cold February air and added tons of twinkle lights for a romantic ambiance all night long.
I am so grateful to have taken part in this amazing day and walk away with two new lifelong friends! Katie + Ross, thank you for allowing me to be there for you and I wish you all the best in married life together!
XOXO, Catherine
