Debbie + Brent
Fun, kind, generous, intelligent, stylish (just look at Debbie’s dresses!), with a mutual passion for fine food, wine, and travel, Debbie and Brent are a perfect pairing! It was such a delight to plan their wedding at Skamania Lodge, and even more fun to watch their families and friends enjoy the day with gusto.
As might be expected from an August day in Oregon, Debbie and Brent’s wedding day was sunny and hot. Colorful parasols and sandalwood fans offered guests exotic respite from the sun during the ceremony, held in the amphitheater with a spectacular natural backdrop of the Columbia Gorge. Individual iced refresher towels were passed out to guests after the short and sweet service providing instant, luxurious relief, and then everyone was ushered to the reception tent on the shady woodland lawn.
The stars of the reception were the cakes! An extravagant stacked cheese wheel cake featuring local cheeses, cut and served by Skamania’s executive chef; a simply stunning fondant cake with a ruffle and rose design, inspired by Debbie’s reception dress; an adorable golf-themed carrot cake for the father of the bride, presented as a birthday surprise. All different. All beautiful. All delicious. What a great party. Congratulations, Debbie and Brent!
