Megan + Marco
Megan and Marco are one of those couples that you immediately click with from the start. I remember our first meeting started off with a 15 minute conversation about our dogs, colleges, and mutual friends before we got into any actual wedding talk. Throughout the meeting, we continually got sidetracked laughing and joking and I knew it was going to be so much fun to work with these two on their special day!
As high school sweethearts who met at Jesuit and continued on to the University of Oregon together, they were more than ready to tie the knot after all these years together. Originally planning for a 2020 summer soiree, a little thing called “COVID-19” got in the way and delayed their plans until the following year. Over that time, we continually tracked mandates and guest counts to confirm we could still put on the event of their dreams for 2021 and thankfully as July rolled around, the scene was set for the perfect day!
Since she was a girl, it had been Megan’s dream to be married on her parents’ property in Tualatin. With multiple acres, huge lawns, and gorgeous natural backdrops, she always knew it was the perfect place to say “I Do.” Wildflower Portland created a stunning arbor in front of the family’s water feature, which served as an amazing ceremony location for the newlyweds. Under a Sperry tent from Party Place, guests made their way to the reception where Willaby's served up delicious pizza and heartfelt toasts from family and friends left not a dry eye in the house.
Dancing, laughter, and celebrations under the twinkling lights filled the rest of the evening. Musical odes to University of Oregon like Coming Home and Shout got all the Ducks on the dance floor and kept the party going all night long.
Megan and Marco, it was such an honor to take part in your special day and see it all come together after such a long time coming. Wishing you both nothing but love and laughter together in married life!
