Meghan + James
Being a part of someone’s special day is always amazing, but when your boss and mentor in the wedding industry asks you to help coordinate their day, the feeling is multiplied by infinity! When Meghan and James shared the details of their intimate, winter wedding up on top of Mount Hood at Silcox Hut, I knew I had to be a part of it.
The bridal party commenced the day with activities around Timberline Lodge; for the groom + groomsmen that meant hitting the slopes while the bride + bridesmaids had hair and makeup done from the team at Face Body Beauty. Once the afternoon rolled around, the bridal party bundled up and made their way up to Silcox Hut on the mountainside of Mt. Hood. Not accessible by car or foot, but via snowcats!
Katy and Nora joined in on the festivities to celebrate the happy couple and take in the amazing view as well!
A pre-ceremony cocktail hour featured drinks to warm up everyone from the cold outside! The ceremony can only be described as heartfelt and love-filled, there was not one dry eye throughout the Hut! Even the couple’s sweet pups, Jules and Jarvis, got to be center-stage as their parents tied the knot.
From there, the celebration began! Each setting was personalized a sweet message from the couple, which incorporated the navy and copper tones featured throughout the wedding. The tables were enhanced with centerpieces from Blum, velvet napkins from La Tovola, blue goblets from Classic Vintage Rentals, and copper mugs which doubled as favors for the guests!
As dinner commenced, guests were treated to a candle-lit dinner filled with conversation, celebration, and great food from the Timberline Lodge catering team. After dessert from not only Dream Cakes, but also 1927 Smores; guests enjoyed tunes from DJ Chad Dowling and the couple’s favorite board games to play.
Meghan and James, being a part of your special day was nothing short of amazing, and I wish you all the happiness and joy in your adventure of life together!

Another highlight? A super late night with all the vendors with dancing, talking (drinking!) and spending the night at the hut only to wake up and take in yet another beautiful day up on Mount Hood!
