I don't think I have laughed more planning a wedding than I did with Erin + Jon! This darling duo (the bride whom is, also, my cousin) not only knows how to make any task fun, but they also know how to throw an amazing party! Erin and Jon reside in New York City, and while Jon is a native, Erin is a more recent transplant. I loved getting to work with them to bring elements of the city they met and fell in love in (NYC) to Erin's hometown (Seattle). Together, we planned a weekend of events, allowing both their West Coast and East Coast families and friends time to celebrate.

For their big day, Jon + Erin chose the historic Rainier Club. They loved the classic downtown Seattle feel the space had - a nod to some similar establishments in Manhattan, as well as the intimacy it presented, as the entire club was rented for our party. Our biggest challenge was to bring in as much light as possible in a mostly indoor venue. Amy Ly knocked it out of the park, bringing in slightly more modern elements to add light with her acrylic ceremony backdrop, and an airiness with a soft palette of pale peach, blush, and white. Paper goods, by the always impressive Robinson Creative House rounded out our look by adding a soft gray and muted gold to the overall look. All of which was captured by the extremely talented Anna Peters.

Guests spent the evening celebrating with live musicians, heartfelt toasts, dinner, and dancing. They dined on an impressive menu, including the bride's favorite, strawberry shortcake, in lieu of a traditional wedding cake, before hitting the dance floor for hours. We lost many pairs of shoes and a few shirts (groomsmen included!), before our late night party came to an end. Needless to say, there was no lack of celebration and fun for all those willing to partake!

It was an amazing weekend, one I will not soon forget, and made even more special as I watched my cousin marry the man of her dreams and welcome a new family member!
