Diana + Dan

Just meeting Diana and Dan you feel a little bit more cool.  Both buyers for Seattle-based retailers, they wanted something that felt beautiful, unique and most importantly fun!  What was so special about their celebration was the outpouring of  support that came from their friends.  Most of the vendors we worked with are friends with this amazing couple - from the beautiful floral arrangements, to the beats that kept the dance floor buzzing all night, right down the to the rings they exchanged. the entire evening was truly a labor of love.

We started our day at Parson's Garden - a hidden gem located on Seattle's historic Queen Anne Hill.  Enclosed in walls of greenery, guests were seated on hand carved benches from Seattle Farm Tables.  I am not sure there was a dry eye as Diana and Dan exchanged their vows to each other in front of an intimate group of family and close friends.

Guests were treated to a ride on 'Big Woody' as we made our way to Tallulah's for a night of celebration.  This darling cafe is located on Capitol Hill and is just a blocks aways from where Dan and Diana call home.   It is a restaurant they frequent regularly, and  although not a traditional wedding venue, they both were so in love with the people, look and food, we knew it was the perfect place to host their reception.  Guests enjoyed cocktails of their liking from the the mid-century bar while catching up with friends and family.  Diana wowed guests with an amazing second dress - a metallic pleated cocktail number that had the fashion-obsessed crowd swooning  The tables were dressed to impress as well with the perfect mix of modern and romantic decor - pale pink flowers, eucalyptus leaves, copper vessels, prisms, air plants and the cafe's signature owl shakers all made for a fabulous look!   Through out the delicious multi-course meal we had an opportunity to hear from some of Diana and Dan's closest friends.  Each spoke  with such love and adoration for the new mr and mrs.  We heard stories of laughter, mischief, challenges, and most importantly friendship.  Dinner parties were such a large part of the beginning phase of their relationship, that it seemed only fitting for them to have celebrated their marriage with similar feel.  We capped the the night off with amazing music - their DJ, an LA based performer (and also a close friend) had the entire crowd on the dance floor.  Luckily our neighbors didn't mind the noise as we kept the party going late into the night! Each guest left with a few of Diana and Dan's favorite treats housed appropriately in a Tallulah's coffee mug!

Congratulations Diana and Dan, I now know why your friends love you both so much - truly an amazing couple!
