Colleen + Nolan

Although I can honestly say I love working with every couple along their engagement  journey, Colleen and Nolan's planning process was one of the most special for me.  I have known Colleen since she was a quiet kindergartner, standing in line with my (not so quiet) younger sister, Katie.  Best friends since those early days, I still remember Katie telling me that she had met Nolan, and knew he was 'the one' for Colleen.  Fast forward a few years, and her premonition was right on - Nolan was a terrific guy, the two were engaged and planning to get married!  Colleen, Nolan and I chose Swiftwater Cellars as their venue, a gorgeous winery in Cle Elum, and I could not imagine a more perfect place for these two to say their i-dos.

Following a rainy welcome party on Friday night at Stone House 101 luck was with us on the Wedding Day as we woke up to a gorgeous sun-filled day.  The outdoor space was decked out by Carol Allmand, of Where Style Blooms with floral topped wine barrels, and a greenery encased swing to hang over the heads of the bride and groom.  Our bridal party made their way down the lawn only to be upstaged by 'flower girl' Rigley - Colleen and Nolan's beloved Swiss Mountain Dog, who decided midway down the aisle that flowers were not for her.  The laughter continued as Colleen's godfather made their nuptials official with shots of Maker's Mark for the bride and groom (also a special moment as the bourbon came from a barrel he had purchased years before for Colleen on her wedding day).

Guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn before making their way into the winery for dinner.  Colleen and Nolan entered the room under an archway of sabers (with kisses under every cross!) - a special tradition, as Nolan is a naval aviator for the Marines.  Toasts, cake and first dances followed before the party really got started.  The dance floor was filled with happiness and laughter for these two.  A Villanova Flag (the bride and groom's alma mater), Polaroid pictures, and to-go donut bags capped off this perfect night!

Colleen and Nolan, it means the world to me that you allowed me to be a part of this special celebration, I loved every minute of it!

I cannot put into words how amazing our planner, Molly Corr, was. She went above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. From vendor suggestions and advice at the beginning, to all the hard work she put into every little detail day of the wedding (and the 1 million things she did in between)- it was all amazing. I can truly say, I could not have planned our wedding without her and I am so unbelievably grateful for all the time, emails, conversations, brainstorming, stalking vendors, creativity, running around, and craftiness she did to make the wedding of our dreams, come true. Several people even went out of their way to let us know that she was the most relaxed, well organized, and confident planner they have ever encountered (this truly happened)! I am so grateful that I was able to truly enjoy and experience my wedding weekend and take it all in without having a worry in the world. One compliment we received from someone that I think really attests to her talent, was “Can’t even put into words what a perfect, beautiful, uniquely Colleen and Nolan weekend it was.” I think that speaks volumes that not only can she create a beautiful wedding, but she was able to capture the essence of the bride and groom in every little detail. I would HIGHLY recommend Molly Corr to anyone looking for a planner!!!!
