Ryan + Tony
As a wedding coordinator it is always special to watch someone who you care about so deeply find their soulmate. I met Ryan when she was first back in Seattle - navigating the city, making friends and establishing ties to her new home. While she made many great friends, she would not meet her best friend, Tony until several years later. When I first saw Tony and Ryan together I knew he was the one. He had a playful way about him that made her not take things too seriously, he made her laugh, taught her about football and most importantly provided her with the pup she longed to have. Ryan, Tony and Pistol (their beloved corgi) were soon inseparable.
When it came time to say their I-dos both Ryan and Tony agreed that they wanted it to be a celebration of their love for each other, and their friends and family. We found the perfect home for this celebration in Capitol Hill's Sole Repair Shop. Just blocks away from where they live, and feet away from some of their favorite hangouts, this hip, urban venue could not have been more ideal for their April Wedding.
The rainy weather did not keep guests away from their special day, in fact it gave them a reason to cozy up during their intimate ceremony. Ryan in a beautiful illusion back gown looked breathtaking as she took her place next to her soon-to-be husband. The two exchanged loving vows before we moved onto the much anticipated party of the year!
Guests enjoyed an Italian feast before they were entertained by some very memorable toasts. Among them Ryan's dad, who reminded us all that although it is typical on a wedding day to welcome a new son, he said he didn't have to, as Tony had already been a part of their family for years - so sweet!
The celebration continued onto the dance floor and didn't stop! Ryan had hand-picked each song to maximize the dance party. Let's just say everyone was thankful for the late night snacks - as they offered an excuse to take a quick break before being pulled back out onto the dance floor by the fun loving bridal party (bride and groom included)!
For many of Ryan and Tony's friends this was the first 'real wedding' they had ever been to. And I have to say it is not one that will be forgotten anytime soon. From love felt between this amazing couple to the party that continued long after Sole Repair turned down their lights, it was a magical, fun filled evening for all.
