When you first hear the words, 'married in my parents' backyard' there so many thoughts and questions that run through a planner's mind.

The biggest one, are you sure? In this case, the answer was YES, and we could not have asked for a more perfect space or weekend for Kari and Sharat.

In keeping with the theme of the weekend we wanted the wedding to feel beautiful and classic, but also relaxed and fun.

Guests made their way down to the waterfront where they were wowed by the incredible backdrop, and flowers by the talented, Eleanor Blackford of Bash and Bloom.

Kari and Sharat said I do in the same backyard as her parents had years before, and by the same officiant, making it an even more special celebration for their families and loved ones.

Following the ceremony we invited guests to mingle as many had traveled to the celebration while enjoying cocktails and light bites from the Lisa Dupar team.

As the sun began to lower we moved into the tent for a water-side dinner capped off by a round of toasts and well wishes for the couple.

The laughter continued with lawn games, ice cream & pie (A la Mode), a homemade dessert - provided by the bride's mother, Lisa, a traditional Norwegian Wedding Cake which tasted even more incredible than it looked.

Guests left with personalized sunglasses (such a fun touch for this sunny July wedding), full bellies - pizza from local favorite Pagliacci capped off our night of eating, tired feet from the hours of dancing (music provided by Rudy of the RudEvents), damp hair (for some) from a late night dip in the lake and smiles are on the their faces.

So incredibly happy for this amazing couple. Kari and Sharat thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!
