Danika and Shakir’s wedding day in Oregon wine country was one for the books. They were surrounded by the people they loved most, while they exchanged vows with a backdrop of rolling hills and grapevines, framed by lush, vibrant florals from Brier + Ivy.

With Indian and Caribbean influences at every turn, guests were delighted with the sounds and flavors of the couple’s individual heritage.

While the sounds of steel pan music filled the air during the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed PNW Dungeness Crab Cake Bites with Lemon Aioli, and Classic Potato and Pea Samosas with Mango Chutney, alongside Danika and Shakir’s signature drinks: Mango-Nika (hers) and Appleton Rum & Coke (his).

For dinner, guests were served Spiced Salmon, a Creamy Tomato Curry with Chicken or Potato and Paneer Kofta, Saffron Rice, and a Summer Sauté of Local Vegetables, family-style, with Grilled Naan at every table.

For dessert, the couple had a 3-layer Coconut Cake with Passionfruit Curd, and Coconut Buttercream, a chocolate Groom’s cake, AND five flavors of Blue Star Donuts (their favorite!) as a late night snack to make sure every sweet tooth in the place was satisfied!

Event Team Entertainment knew how important music was to the couple and kept the dance floor moving all night with a blend of 90s Hip Hop, Reggae, Indian, and Dancehall.
