Elizabeth + Mike
Have you dreamed about having a wedding in Italy? How cool would it be to bring Italy to Portland? Well, we did just that for Elizabeth & Mike's wedding! Villa Catalana Cellars has been a place that I personally had been dying to coordinate a wedding at and once I showed Elizabeth- she fell in love with the venue the same way I had. With a beautiful Tuscan-inspired home as the backdrop along with it's seriously gorgeous, over the top landscaping, it was as if we had traveled to Italy without having to get on a plane.
The ceremony took place in the amphitheater overlooking the pond, which was full of blossoming lily pads. Afterwards, guests were able to enjoy the property during cocktail hour before heading to the other side of the pond for dinner and reception.
Two rows of long wooden tables placed parallel to one another gave an intimate and warm feel as guests were served an Italian inspired family style meal, featuring short ribs, homemade pasta, fresh heirloom tomatoes, and fried eggplant---my mouth is still watering thinking about it! Rows of garlands with pops of floral adorned each table along with beautiful gold rimmed china from Classic Vintage Rentals. After dinner, guests enjoyed cake from Papa Haydn's and danced the night away thanks to the epic music provided by DJ Zimmie.
he night didn't end there as guests then took a school bus to Kells for the after party. It was truly one of the most beautiful days and I could not have been more honored to have been a part of it! Thank you Elizabeth, Mike and Susan for letting me be part of such a special day!
