Mona + Shayan

Mona and Shayan were two of the best! Being from Portland originally, they both reside in the Bay area now, wanted to bring their family & guests back to their home in the PNW. They wanted to give their guests the full Portland experience with a Persian flare.

They landed on The Nines in downtown Portland. The night before guests were invited to sip on drinks up on the trendy rooftop of Departure and continued celebrating the next day in the Grand Ballroom at The Nines. The sofreh was decorated beautifully with floral from Floral Sunshine and an amazing spread of personal and family items covered the entire stage. An 8 ft’ wide aisle set the stage for Mona’s gorgeous gown along with floating candles in tall water vases.

Once Mona & Shayan said “I Do” it was time to party! Mona & Shayan opted to have a later dinner and have the guests engage in some dancing right after cocktail hour. It was fantastic to see everyone hop out of their seats and get their dance on so early in the night! The Nines, as usual, served amazing food with a fantastic drip cake to seal the deal. What a night celebrating Mona & Shayan -  Congrats you two!

We had the pleasure of working with Catherine Sammon on our wedding. We hired her as our day of the event coordinator but I feel like she was involved in every step of my planning. I can not describe how helpful she was and how calm she kept me (the bride) throughout the whole process. Given that we were planning our wedding long distance, she was truly God sent and all a bride needs. She was 100% reliable and knew what she was doing. She is an amazing listener and an easy person to work with. I was at times a bridezilla but she never made me feel that way. We are forever grateful to Catherine.
