Nicole + Steve

It was truly an honor to work with Nicole on the planning and coordination of her vow renewal with her husband Steve. Not only is Nicole super fun and energetic, but she is one of the most kind and generous people I’ve ever met. Nicole owns and manages Powder, Inc., where brides come from all over the state to have their wedding makeup done. It is always wonderful to work with Nicole as a fellow wedding professional, but it was so fun to work with her as a bride!

The forecast on the vow renewal day called for rain so we prepped with cute umbrellas but when the Wagner family went to take photos, the clouds cleared and made for the perfect photo weather! As you can see here, their family photos are dreamy!

Guests were greeted at Opal 28 with strawberry lemonades and guided to the intimate ceremony area.

After walking down the aisle with their two daughters, Nicole and Steve read heart-felt vows to each other reminiscing about the 15 years they have shared so far and committed to a life-time more. I did not see a dry eye in the room! This was a beautiful ceremony I (and everyone else who attended) will remember forever.

Following the ceremony guests moved to the adjacent room where a long table was beautifully set for this intimate-sized 30-person group.

We used blush plates, gold flatware, lush florals, dreamy velvet napkins, and a taupe mesh table runner to create the whimsically ornate environment Nicole dreamed of.  The size of the group made the dinner feel like a formal family dinner.

The oldest Wagner daughter and a best friend of the couple gave charming, unscripted toasts. Instead of cutting a cake the couple cut a donut and headed to the dancefloor.

With dessert in hand, guests headed back to the ceremony room which we had flipped into a reception space with a dance floor, DJ lighting, and photo booth. Here friend and family danced the night away! Thank you, Wagner family, for letting me be a part of your magical day. Your passion for love and life is contagious! Cheers to the past 15 years and a lifetime more!
