Pantone Color of the Year 2013

Every December, a color of the year to come is named by Pantone…the authority on all things color related.  This year, the chosen color is Emerald Green.  They describe the color as “Lively.  Radiant.  Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”

I have to be honest, initially I wasn’t thrilled by this tone.  However…the more I look at it, the more I like it.  Emerald is a very flattering color (lucky bridesmaids!), and looks crisp and clean against whites, or rich and elegant with other jewel tones.  There is so much you can do with it, and it can certainly make a statement.
