Nora's Baby Sprinkle

When Nora Sheils (owner of Bridal Bliss and my sister-in-law) broke the news that Baby #2 was on the way, it was hard to think of where to begin in planning a Sprinkle for this special lady. Myself and one of Nora's best girlfriends, Mary (the two met planning her wedding!), got together for coffee and spent the entire afternoon brainstorming everything that Nora loves. The list included tea, pumpkin, pampering, sweets, fancy cocktails and much more. After searching for the perfect venue we landed on Art of Catering's event space in the Pearl. The space was intimate and a blank canvas which would allow us to design and create something special for Nora.

For the design, we knew Nora loves the color combo of navy with fuchsia and all things Kate Spade so we worked off this palette. With the help of Party Place and Zest Floral we were able to bring the space to life. Each place setting included gold flatware, pre-set china with a napkin folded like a bow. Zest Floral created several low and lush floral arrangements in chic gold geometric vases. They mixed in a few gold geometric shapes, pillar candles and low votive candles for ambiance. Details included a place setting bloom, a personalized dinner menu on each place setting and a custom champagne bottle that read "Baby Sheils is almost here! When you get the news pop this bubbly and send some cheer!" Designed by the ever so talented Crave Design

Mary and I, with the help of James at Art of Catering, brainstormed a delicious menu which was perfect for fall dinner and included Nora's favorites. Guests were greeted with passed tea sandwiches, mini shots of pumpkin broth and of course delicious mocktails and cocktails which they enjoyed before or after an indulgent massage. For dinner Chef Christopher Dahl put together a smoked pheasant salad which included quinoa and plumped cherries over greens and fresh herbs. The salad was topped with spice roasted pumpkin, pepitas and crumbled manouri cheese. Following dinner each guest was served a trio of delectable desserts: salted pumpkin caramel, pumpkin panna cotta and a Moonstruck chocolate pumpkin truffle.

The evening was perfect. The room was filled with love and laughter, which is really all you need when you are celebrating such a special person! A big thank you to Alice from Mosca Studio for capturing these beautiful pictures which we love ever so much!
