Ellie + Dylan
I was so honored to be asked by the Cross family to help plan another epic celebration of love and family. After working with her older sister, Lexi, in 2022, I jumped at the chance to work with Ellie, and her fiancé Dylan, to bring their vision to life.
Guests were welcomed into the space with a tribute photo wall to all the married couples in Ellie and Dylan’s lives. They wanted to show their gratitude to all those who set a positive example of marriage for each of them, and it was wonderful to see guests’ reactions as they discovered their pictures on display! Her grandparents’ estate is already surrounded by so much natural beauty, so bringing in lush floral arrangements in blue and white porcelain vases added an extra layer of elegance to their dinner setting. Six hundred (600!!) long-stemmed white roses lined the aisle, leading the way to where the couple would take their vows before all their family and friends.
After the vows were sealed with a kiss, guests enjoyed cocktail hour under the trees, while Mac’s Custom Catering served caprese skewers and salmon paté crostinis, as well as the evening’s signature cocktails - a Kentucky Mule (his) and Raspberry Refresher (hers). For dinner, guests enjoyed a delicious spread of Tri-Tip, Poulet Béchamel, Roasted Vegetables, and Au Gratin Potatoes. After the heartfelt toasts, Ellie and Dylan cut their cake, before taking to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Rising Phoenix Productions provided music that kept the party going while guests danced under the stars through the late hours of the night, until leaving the venue with their hearts full.
Ellie and Dylan, it was an honor to be a part of your wedding day, and this amazing family celebration. I’m excited for you and all the adventures that await you in your life together. Congratulations and best wishes for your “Happy Ever After”!
XOXO, Candida
