I was first introduced to Nicole + Michael through fellow planner, Catherine, who was sorority sisters with Nicole at the University of Oregon. From the moment we sat down to chat all things wedding planning, I knew these two would be a dream set of clients! Nicole, originally from the Bay Area, wanted their wedding day to showcase the beauty of Oregon for her out of town guests and pay honor to the place where she and Michael first met and would be starting their new lives together.

The picturesque and historic Waverley Country Club provided the perfect backdrop for this memorable occasion with its sprawling greens, tranquil waters, and classic Portland charm. Nicole chose to incorporating a classic color scheme of black and white contrasted with touches of vibrant greenery — a timeless combination that exuded sophistication and served as a perfect canvas for their gorgeous day.

On the lower lawn against the stunning backdrop of the Willamette River, the couple exchanged vows under an exquisite chuppah adorned with white florals and greenery. Nicole’s grandma even served as the “flower granny” which was the perfect added surprised and adored by guests. As family and friends made their way back up to the 9th hole green, a champagne wall and personalized menus place setting awaited at the reception.

After toasts and celebratory dances, John Ross Music kicked off the dance party as late night espresso martinis flowed and Michael’s cigar bar opened. As a touch to their new Oregon roots, Voodoo Donuts even made a surprise appearance to treat guests to late night treats to fuel the party. Friends and family danced the rest of the night away, under the bistro lighting celebrating the love and happiness that filled the air.
