Celebrating 10 Years!!!
I cannot hardly believe that it’s been ten years since the beginning of BRIDAL BLISS!! I was a new college graduate (GO ZAGS!), and had just won the university’s annual BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION with my good friend JULIA. With seed money in my pocket, background planning experience and Julia deciding to live in Seattle, I had a big decision to make….try to work in the industry or start Bridal Bliss right off the bat.
Well, despite encouragement from family to scope it out a bit more…I took the plunge and BRIDAL BLISS was born in the summer of 2002. What a ride it has been!! I will never forget my first wedding for Elizabeth & Casey, whom I still keep in touch with today, and are busy chasing after four little ones. My strongest memories of that night are how I felt at the end….exhausted but exhilarated. I made the rookie mistake of wearing cute high heels….and I could barely feel my feet on the drive home! Beyond that, it had been a great day, I had a VERY happy couple and I had the opportunity to work with some of the same talented wedding professionals that we regularly work with today.
Do you recognize the PORTLAND ART MUSEUM? This was before the renovation in 2005!

I would have never imagined that all my time and hard work starting out would have led me to the most amazing and fulfilling experience of my life, and that BRIDAL BLISS would become one of Portland’s top wedding planning firms. Having the opportunity to truly make a difference in people’s lives while also meeting and working with so many people who have become dear friends is irreplaceable. I even met my husband six years ago while working a wedding!

I am so thankful to my friends, family, clients, colleagues and our talented BRIDAL BLISS TEAM for all the love and incredible support these last ten years. I feel beyond blessed to be able to do what I love and to truly be excited about going to work. We have afantastic group of women that go above and beyond for all of our clients, and I could not be more appreciative to each of our coordinators for always exceeding all of my expectations and ensuring that our brides and grooms are thrilled with their wedding experience.

In lieu of a big birthday party (and we all know I LOVE a big party!!!), I have decided to make a donation to the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY in honor of our ten year anniversary. For a bit more about our start, CLICK HERE.
