MACkenzie shoemaker

Mackenzie’s event planning career began in Portland at the ripe age of 10, when she planned her neighborhood’s first annual Pet Pageant. Inspired by an American Girl Magazine and bringing her friends together, the event went off without a hitch and her passion for events hasn’t slowed down since!
Mackenzie has spent nearly fifteen years designing, planning and executing events of all shapes and sizes. From elegant weddings in the mountains of Colorado, to large corporate galas at venues like the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, she has tremendous experience that has helped grow, challenge and shape her.

Mackenzie’s passion is people, with an ability to connect with her clients and make every last detail come to life in order to execute a flawless, memorable experience.
When she’s not knee-deep in logistics, linens and floor plans, Mackenzie loves spending time traveling and exploring the northwest and beyond with her husband and three energetic, totally wild girls.

I was fortunate enough to have Mackenzie Shoemaker as my wedding coordinator, and she went above and beyond in every way. She did a fantastic job making me feel like I was her one and only client from our very first conversation, which at that point my wedding was still AGES away. She was so warm, easy to talk to, organized and gave wonderful advice. She has an exceptional aptitude for balancing the vision of the bride with peppering in recommendations/changes to accommodate for the larger logistical picture. The day-of was a continuation of the work she put in all year long. I went into the day feeling so at ease, mainly because of her positive, stress-free energy that made the day that much better and how organized, communicative, and on top of everything she was. I can’t even tell you the number of compliments I received from friends/family about my AMAZING wedding coordinator.
