Nicole & Jay’s wedding is coming up in November and I am really looking forward to it!  I love meeting with them–they always give me a great dose of humor and sarcasm.  Nicole & Jay are super down to earth and are looking forward to a super fun party with all their friends and family at The Treasury Ballroom.

Laurel from Powers Studios is the couple’s photographer and the three of them recently met up downtown for an engagement shoot.  As amazing as these photos are (are they a good looking couple of what?!!?),  the story behind what happened in the midst of the session is pretty insane.

As Laurel was shooting away, Nicole & Jay witnessed a man break into a parked car and run off with a purse.  Jay, being the great guy that he is, decided to chase the thief down….through downtown Portland.  Nicole & Laurel followed the chase (Laurel taking photos, of course) but unfortunately, Jay lost the man as he was weaving in and out of streets.

The police took over and Nicole, Jay and Laurel went back to their shoot.  Can you imagine??

Today I went into KPTV’s studios this morning to shoot a live segment with Kim Maus (who’s wedding we are coordinating THIS Saturday!!) about recreating celebrity weddings.

Alix & David’s wedding was in early July and their photos are spectacular.  I am still going through them, but just HAD to share these amazing images by Powers Studios.  As a wedding gift, David surprised Alix (who is a HUGE Twilight fan) by creating this arch inspired by the movie, and delivering it to Waverley Country Club.  Talk about a keeper!

I came across blog posts today by Crave Design & Style Unveiled of Barbie & Ken’s “wedding” and just had to share.  Someone apparently has too much time on their hands, but the pictures are kind of cute!
