This morning a live segment on KPTV’s morning show Good Day Oregon aired with myself Kimberly Maus. The topic was on wedding etiquette and how to be a good wedding guest. If you take one thing out of this piece….PLEASE make sure to send in your RSVP on time whether you plan to attend the wedding or not! So many wedding details hinge on the final count and having to track down guests is a huge hassle.  Do the couple (and me!) a favor and send that little card in.

Madalyn + Gabe’s red, black and gold wedding at The beautiful Viewpoint Inn was featured on the Style Me Pretty a few months back before I started my blog.  I am so sad that the venue was recently damanged in a fire but am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be rebuilt as it is a great facility with a STUNNING view. 

Madalyn was one of the most laid back brides I have worked with—she supplied us with a general idea of what she was looking for and gave us creative freedom to bring it all together and craft a truly spectacular event. 

Madalyn & Gabe were such a sweet couple together—not only did I enjoy planning the wedding, I loved getting to know the two of them.   See the entire wedding gallery here.

One of our darling couples, Jennifer & Ben, were married at a gorgeous outdoor venue in Wilamette Valley, Stoller Vinyeards.  The couple surprised their guests with a “same day edit” from their videographer, Ambient Sky.  While guests were eating, the videographer was quickly editing all the earlier footage and pulling it together in a video for guests to watch before toasts.  Enjoy!

Today I had a segment air on KPTV Channel 12′s morning show, MORE Good Day Oregon, about what to include in your wedding day emergency kit.  All of our coordinators have a fully stocked kit that they bring to every one of our weddings and they are put to use VERY regularly.  Believe it or not, our lint rollers are are used time and time again and safety pins are refreshed more than any other item.  Just this past weekend, I put white chalk to good use on a bride’s gown which was covered with dirt after her pre-wedding photos.

Last week was Oregon Bride Magazine’s annual Best of Bride Party!  This is a fabulous event the magazine throws every year to celebrate the release of their Fall/Winter issue and to honor all of the “Best of Bride” award winners.

Not only did I have the pleasure of helping plan the event, I was thrilled to come home with TWO awards!! Bridal Bliss was named Portland’s Best Wedding Planner and Portland’s Best All Around Wedding Vendor of 2011! I still can’t quite believe it but am nothing less than honored, flattered, amazed, grateful and humbled. THANK YOU so much to everyone that took the time to vote for us and for the wonderful women who make Bridal Bliss great.
