Brand New Event Space, The Foundry at Oswego Pointe.

Monday, February 28th, 2011

We are thrilled to be planning one of The Foundry at Oswego Pointe’s Grand Opening Events on Thursday, March 10th from 4-8 PM!  This is an amazing new event space in Lake Oswego that will soon be a hot spot for brides and grooms.  The indoor space is gorgeous with vaulted ceilings, neutral colors, and large windows overlooking the Willamette River.  There are also a few stunning outdoor options for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and the like.    We already have a handful of weddings booked at The Foundry this summer and are so excited to work this new venue.

We would love for you to join us for our Opening Event! Click here to RSVP and for more details on the Thursday event and two other fun parties.  Hope to see you there!

AK Cake Design

Monday, February 21st, 2011

I had the pleasure of meeting Allison Kelleher, owner of AK Cake Design and baker extraordinaire this week.  She brought by a gorgeous cake covered in fondant and amazing sugar flowers on top–very simple, elegant and super sophisticated.  I wish I had taken a photo before we all devoured it!  The cake was delicious and believe it or not, we all even thought the fondant was yummy.  I’m not sure what Allison did to make the fondant so tasty but its definitely better than any fondant I’ve tasted in the past!  Take a peek at a few of her designs, they are so creative and fun.  Allison only designs one cake per weekend which I love—it guarantees that every cake gets her undivided attention.  Beyond all that, she is a super sweet lady!

Thanks so much Allison!

Emily + Nick’s Wine Themed Wedding

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

Emily & Nick were married on a beautiful November day at St. Mary’s Cathedral with a reception following at Waverley Country Club.  Emily and I went to high school together back in the day, and it was so fun to reconnect and help plan her fabulous wedding!

Emily & Nick LOVE wine and wanted to incorporate that into their wedding.  Tables were named after their favorite vineyards, place cards were made of wine corks and there was a nice big bottle of wine on the head table for the wedding party to enjoy.

Guest had a great time with an amazing band, hilarious toasts and a cigar bar.  The reception was super high energy and everyone danced the night away!

Geranium Lake’s TODAY Show Debut

Friday, February 11th, 2011

A big CONGRATS to my good friend and fellow wedding vendor, Kim Foren, owner and designer extraordinaire at Geranium Lake Flowers.  Kim did an amazing job on the TODAY Show this morning–she was articulate, had gorgeous floral props and was just all around darling.

Click here to watch the fun Valentine’s themed spot.

Congrats Kim—you continue to inspire us!

Marjorie + Evan’s Moroccan Masterpiece

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

Marjorie & Evan were married on a beautiful spring day at The Old Church.  When we initially met, Marjorie brought with her a few photos that she had ripped out of magazines with weddings featuring rich colors and ethnic accents.  We used them as inspiration and ran with it to create a gorgeous Moroccan palette with oranges, fuchsias and touches of gold at her reception venue.

Marjorie’s mother, Sue, and I worked very closely designing the wedding and coordinating the day.  Sue has a keen eye for detail and I absolutely loved getting to know her!  By Marjorie & Evan’s smiles alone, its obvious to see that our hard work paid off and they loved how it all came together.

Molly + Dan

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Molly and Dan celebrated their wedding on a beautiful spring day at Waverley Country Club.  Molly has such a bubbly and sweet personality–planning with her was so much fun!   She wanted a traditional wedding with a little bit of sass which we achieved through having gorgeous peonies, a bagpiper, pie dessert bar, table numbers on wine bottles, late night snacks and a super cute feather headpiece that Molly rocked.

Molly & Dan’s wedding was absolutely stunning and the two of them had enormous smiles on their faces all evening.  What a fun day!
